By following the practices below, you can safeguard your account and significantly reduce the risk of being blocked by the platform.

• It's best to send messages to prospects you have Mutual Friends with
• No need to wait for a friend request to be accepted to send messages if you have mutual Friends with your leads (you can see this on the profile)

 What do Messenger Icons mean?

Status: Sending...
This icon shows for about 1 second when you send a message and changes to the “sent” icon. If it stays in this stage for more than 3 seconds, FB might be starting to throttle your messages, time to switch to only doing replies to existing conversations to prevent block.

Status: Sent
Your message has been sent to the recipent but not yet received by the recipient. If you don't receive a response within 48 hours, you can send another message to bump your chat back to the top of their inbox.

Status: Read 
If Your message has been read by the recipent,the small profile picture will show. If you don't receive a response within 48 hours, you can send another message to bump your chat back to the top of their inbox.

Status: Couldn't send
Temporarily can't send messages to new conversations. At this stage you can only reply to messages from existing conversations. Avoid getting to this stage as much as possible. If you never got a response to this conversation, you are probably limited from sending messages to people you never messaged before or who never responded to you before. You should still be able to follow up on existing conversations where there have been responses. We suggest you focus on your follow ups and resume sending new messages the next day. If you cannot send messages to anyone, pause sending messages for 24h.
